A home can offer more than a place to live: it can help us feel calm, private and connected. LiraProtect explores how we care for and protect our spaces, bringing everyday needs together with traditions of home protection. Materials, layouts, objects and symbols are starting points for understanding what your home means to you and what you would like to change.

LiraProtect is a project by Mary Alejandra Sánchez Gabarre, a self-employed professional based in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid, Spain. Start with a question, a concern or a photograph of your space. Lira helps explore what you share, recognise what already works and consider suggestions based on your preferences and circumstances. Each recommendation should explain its reasoning and offer steps to consider before deciding. A small change can be a good beginning.

We explore how different cultures have understood home protection and the meanings they attribute to materials, thresholds, plants and objects. Ideas about energies and symbolic protection are presented as beliefs or traditions, distinguished from observable physical effects. You choose what makes sense for you and how to bring it into your space.

Lira uses artificial intelligence to organise information and support your exploration of your home. You can request a report bringing together the important points of the conversation, suggestions and the reasons behind them. Saved reports are available in My home and are only updated when you request it. Guidance may contain errors and does not replace an in-person inspection or a professional technical assessment.

Decisions about your home remain yours. Share only necessary photographs and details: images are kept in private storage and sent to AI for the functions you authorise.
